More about Naomi

Whilst working on a cruise ship in my late twenties, I had the good fortune to meet the legendary American composer and conductor Marvin Hamlisch, who graciously took the time to listen to my compositions and encouraged me to pursue my passion for music. This was a significant turning point in my life and his guidance and support gave me the confidence to follow my dreams and become the composer I am today. I will always be grateful for his kindness and generosity.

Once I returned to the UK, I studied music and composition at The University of Huddersfield including studying Music for Film & TV at Dartington Summer School tutored by the British composer and conductor, David Bedford. I proceeded to write music for television documentaries for ITV and Channel 4, theatre productions and music libraries, resulting in my music being featured on various TV programmes and commercials.

My love of music spans a number of genres and styles, and my library of compositions range from intimate solo and classical chamber pieces to larger orchestral works, traditional Scottish music to brass band numbers.

I’ve released a selection of original Celtic compositions I’ve created over the years, along with soothing arrangements of well-loved Christmas carols, all available for listeners to enjoy on major digital streaming platforms such as Spotify and also available to download at Bandcamp.
