For a while now, I've been silent in the realm of 'news' with a quiet digital presence. But behind the scenes, amidst the silence, there's been music in the making and plenty of preparation to release singles of my Celtic music.
I’ve been channelling my creative energy into the music, rescoring and refining my library of original Celtic music, which I composed twenty-four years ago. Now, as I've started to release my music to the world, I wanted to share this journey of musical immersion with you.
Having recently updated my orchestral sounds to the latest high-end virtual instruments such as Vienna Symphonic Library, Hollywood Orchestra and more, it has been a time of discovery, learning and crafting the best sounds for each track using Sibelius Ultimate software and the integrated playback engine, NotePerformer with the virtual orchestra to bring the music to life. I have been saturated in scores and sounds, immersing myself in the Celtic sonic landscape, rediscovering my library of Celtic compositions, and spending many hours composing, orchestrating, scoring, tweaking and polishing the music.
Now, as I prepare to share my creations with the world, I feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. It's been a long journey, filled with the love of music, perseverance, and dedication and while my 'news' hiatus may have been quiet, the music that emerged from it tells a story.
Having been very fortunate to live in some of the most beautiful places on the west coast of Scotland for many years, I’ve been inspired by the stunning landscape, natural beauty, wildlife and culture, capturing memories in music, and built up a library of Celtic tracks, more of which I’ll be releasing in the coming months.
Take a peak at the photographs below:
A few taster pictures taken over the years of the dramatic and serene aspects of the Scottish landscape. Although, these pictures are of the Highlands, during my younger years, I grew up on the Isle of Jura, Inner Hebrides, which had a significant influence upon my music.

So here I am, ready to break the silence and share my Celtic music with the world. It's been a long time coming, but I believe it's been worth the wait. My debut single 'Celtic Bliss' is officially out now and available for streaming on all major digital platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon Music, or you can listen to it here on YouTube or purchase it via Bandcamp or the iTunes store. Alternatively, head to the Releases page on my website for the music links (and new single releases coming soon) or listen below on SoundCloud.
More tracks to follow very soon, such as Hymn of Caledonia and Cuillin Sunset, so stayed tuned! But till then......
Step into a realm of Celtic enchantment, where the soft, repetitive whispers of the harp and piano reflect the gentle flow of rippling waters, painting a serene landscape for the soul. Let the soothing melodies of mellow flutes and strings envelop you in a cocoon of relaxation, as each phrase gently weaves a tapestry of tranquility. Experience the ethereal beauty of this musical journey, where every note invites you to immerse yourself in the timeless serenity of Celtic bliss.
Enjoy!
